I love the colors on these cards.
Distress inks over an embossed panel. Recollections flowers and embellishment, colored with stampcessories spray ink. The sentiment was stamped and cut with hero arts frame cuts stamp and die cut set. Added some ribbon and brads and I’m done!
This card was cased from a card on the hero arts flickr page- I think.I cant take credit for the layout and design but the execution was original
The main panel was created using stampcessories spray ink. Love these colors. Once the panel was dry I stamped XXXX in white ink and embossed with white embossing powder. I then masked the flower image and stamped over the panel with XXX stamp from hero arts using the new Hero arts pool dye ink. The sentiment was stamped and die cut with the Hero Arts frame cut. I outlined the frame cut and highlighted the dlowers with ice stickles. The panel was matted to a black panel and then onto a white panel.
Hi! Thanks for visiting my desk:
Another Wednesday finds me still art journaling. On my desk are some of the items I have been using to create pages: gesso, spray bottle with water, stamps, water color shimmer paints. I did the background about two weeks ago when I first got started so the background is a little timid. I went back and added the flowers and the swirls last night. I left some room to write but I will do that in another step.
Here is a close up of the ( almost) finished page:
Thanks for stopping by!
So here is my mess:
I have not blogged nor posted a WOYWW in a few weeks because I have been creating stuff! ( That is the way it is supposed to be , right?)
I have recently “discovered” art journaling and love it! So that is what I have been doing. I have been pulling out tons of supplies that I don’t normally use just to see what I can create on my journal pages.
The photo above shows freshly gessoed pages, ready for the next “experiment” and a bunch of stuff I have not yet put away from the last set of pages: homemade pearl-ex mist, glimmer mist, fireworks spray inks ( see my review here: https://artfulaccidents.wordpress.com/2012/05/09/fireworks-spray-ink-review/ ), stamps, staz-on cleaner, etc, etc. It is a mess, I know!
Here is an almost completed journal page. It is still a work in progress:
Thanks for visiting. Have a great Wednesday!
What is on my workdesk?
Sadly, not what should be there. As you can see there is nothing on my desk. ( Just the remnants of my latest spray ink experiments) In fact, my desk has not seen much action in the last two weeks. I SHOULD be working on a Mother’s Day card since this Sunday is Mother’s Day in the USA. It astonishes me that I probably have what amounts to thousands of dollars in stamps, paper, embellishments and other card making supplies yet for the past few years I have been unable to find time to make a handmade card for my mom for Mother’s Day. The problem is that I am so intent on creating the PERFECT card for my mom because she deserves nothing but the best – that I get so paralyzed that I cannot create anything. Arrrrgh! It looks like once again I will be at the local cardshop this week purchasing a card for my mother. I am so disappointed in me!
I tried out some new to me spray inks called “Fireworks” that I purchased at Joanns. They are vibrant colors with a shimmer. I really like them Check out my review below:

For this card I dug into some of those DCWV patterned paper packs that I seem to collect but not actually use. The dashed lines were hand drawn with a marker to add faux stitching. Thanks for looking!
Since April showers bring May flowers I thought I would share a sunny, cherry, floral card in the sprit of May!
It needs a greeting but I did not want to ruin it!
I love purple. I don’t use it enough. The background is patterned paper embossed with an embossing folder. Thanks for looking!
